The following outlines some of the main features of the Commitments function of IPMS
Commitments
This function provides management with the ability to measure existing commitments against defined budgets, forecast figures and revised forecasts for each cost centre, or down to individual cost codes if required.
Access to budgets is controlled by authority restriction
Budget profiles defined for each cost code or centre
Automatic movement of transactions through four stages:-
'soft' commitment - requisition raised but not ordered
committed - order placed
Invoiced - goods received and invoiced
expenditure - supplier paid
analysis of each stage available
